The
big announcement brought tears to our eyes
as long time afternoon duo Brad and Jen announced
Monday they would be leaving the Star family.
“I
am so sad to see them go. They have been such
an asset to the Star family. They have shown
what being a Christian in radio is about,”
said Traci Lee, station manager for WHJT.
“I
know they will go on to great things,” said
Russ Robinson, General Manager for Star 93.5.
Star
93.5 is owned by Mississippi College and uses
students to work while they are getting degrees
in areas of Communication.

“The
most amazing, dynamic duo since Batman and
Robin,” says Kaleb the producer extraordinaire.
“I have to agree with Kaleb to a certain degree,”
says Traci, “although I would never, ever,
under any circumstances want to see Brad in
tights and a cape.”
Jen
Taylor is going on to work for the Deuce McAllister
foundation in Jackson. “I am so excited about
working with such a great foundation,” says
Taylor. “Maybe I will still be able to be
a part of Star since I will still be in town.”
Brad
Michaels has answered a call to the ministry
and will be attending seminary in the fall
while working on staff at FBC Brandon. “I
have always known God had a special calling
on my life, and I am excited to begin in that
specific direction! I am anxious and excited
about the way God is going to continue to
lead and direct my life!”
“There
are no words to say what I have learned in
just a short time from them,” said Kalyn.
“They are talented and I know will go on to
greatness.”
For
the time being, Traci and Kaleb will fill
the afternoon timeslot from 2a-6p. New show
host will be announced in the Fall.
Brad
and Jen’s last show will be Friday, May 12,
2006. “Send them an email, and let them know
you are praying for them,” said Traci. “I
know they will be missed.”
