    Forget Backstage... Jen goes Inside

Shhh... Jen Taylor will be stalking Toby Mac, but don't tell. ;)

Jen Taylor's Obsession with Toby Mac goes to Nashville

    Toby Mac

Jen Taylor’s goal to meet Toby Mac leads her to Nashville…
It all started when Jen saw Toby Mac on the “Supernatural Tour” with DC Talk. She knew then, she had to meet him. “I touched his hand when he was crowd surfing,” Jen was reported as saying recently. “I just really have to meet him, he’s so cool.”

Jen starts her journey to Nashville the first of April to meet Toby Mac. Will she succeed? Will she get thrown in jail? How far is she willing to go? Listen to Star 93.5 every afternoon to find out…and since Traci is taking pictures of the event, log on to www.star93fm.com to see the latest Star pics.

Jen says: “Traci Lee is really not making any of this up…I think I have a slight obsession with Toby….well, okay, a full fledged obsession. Toby – Here I come!”

    Chllin' for Blair E. Batson

Snowbiz and Star 93.5 chilling out for Blair E. Batson...

    Summer's Coming

There is something that has been on my heart. Summer is approaching and many people are gearing up for summer camps or mission trips. If you have not considered it, pray about it. A mission project, either domestic or foreign, can be a vacation from the ordinary. Or if you’re unable to just get away, try to help out with finances or encouragement. It can give your heart refreshment that it may need in these busy days of ours. I know of dozens of people that are going on all types of mission projects. Please pray and consider signing up for one, and remember you may not be the only one that can benefit from it.

    Letter from the JCF Editor

    Marilyn Smith
    Marilyn Smith

From the window in my son and daughter-in-law’s kitchen I can look out and see an interesting mix of trees lining the streets of Old Town Alexandria. Here in the middle of March, the limbs are still bare, and, despite the warmer temperatures, the burst of color that will soon signal spring’s arrival is nowhere in sight – that is, except for one brave little Bradford Pear shouting at me from across the street. It stands there in the forefront of what looks like hundreds of stark stalk-like branches reaching their spindly arms toward a bleak gray sky. This brave little tree refuses to look shriveled and dead like its neighbors. Instead, it is doing exactly what it was created to do – bloom. Its branches laden with fluffy white blossoms stretch toward the heavens sending the message loud and clear that Old Man Winter is losing its grip on the Washington, D.C. area. Despite what it sees around itself, it has chosen to celebrate life.

    'Ask Traci' Featured Question
    Aly & AJ

Are Aly and AJ Christians? If they aren't why is 93.5 playing them?
posted by abbey | view this question at star93fm.com

Thank you for the email. We get a lot of questions about artist that have mainstream success, like Switchfoot, Relient K, Stacy Orrico and now new acts like Everlife and Aly and Aj. As Christian music grows it reaches an audience that desperately needs to be reached.

Aly and Aj along with Everlife have both been featured on Disney albums with favorites, Plus 5. I am sending a link to an interview the girls did with ChristianityToday.com.

Thank you for asking the question that I am sure others have ask themselves! We could not do what we do without our listeners! You guys are the best! And we really work hard to make our station safe for the whole family! Thanks again for making sure we stick to that!!

    FCA Golf Tourney - Thanks!

From the desk of Russ Robinson
A special thank you to everyone who attended the FCA Golf tourney last month. Special ‘hat’s off’ to Matt Murphy at Mississippi College’s FCA for doing a great job. We had a great time…even though I couldn’t find a hole to save my life…but that’s another story altogether.

For more information on FCA please log onto www.mc.edu/athletics and click on FCA. Thanks again, and next time…with bigger holes, I’m taking first.

On another note, Ed Trim of Pennington and Trim played on our team. Now, Ed is an advertiser on Star 93.5, and I know he is a great business partner. But you don’t really know someone until you play (bad) golf with them. And Ed, passes with flying colors. He is what he portrays: A Believer saved by grace! Give Pennington and Trim a call today, and thank them for using Star 93.5 – Remember Pennington and Trim can save your life, but they can’t save your soul. Call them today at 601.939.5231 or log on to their website.
